Frequently Asked Questions

Who can attend?

The Collision Repair Expo is a Free Trade Only Event. Entry is restricted to bona fide members of the automotive industry and over the age of 16.

Business ID may be required upon entry eg. Business card, letterhead, payslip or company documentation containing your company ABN (this could be a company bill, company order, company registration certificate). You may also be asked for personal identification such as a drivers licence to substantiate your identification. All visitors must be able to provide proof they either work at or operate the company used in registration.

Those not involved in the automotive industry will not be admitted. Selling or promotion of products/services to exhibitors is not permitted. No photography or sketching permitted. Students will not be registered. Visitors failing to abide may be asked to leave the venue.

The Organiser reserves the right at their discretion to deny or withdraw access to non-approved persons.

How much does it cost to attend?

Once registered as a bona fide trade visitor, attendance is free.

Do I need to register for the event?

Yes all visitors must register.

Alternatively you can register onsite when you arrive, however to avoid queues we recommend you pre-register. This will also ensure you receive approval prior to attending & receive registration confirmation for easy entry.

Note: When registering, full company details must be entered ie: company address, not personal address. All required fields must be completed in full, failing to provide full details may determine registration approval.

What happens when I register?

On the registration form, you have the option of an e-badge or for your badge to be mailed to you.

If you add your email address to the registration form, and do not select for your badge to be mailed, you will receive your e-ticket shortly after completing the form. This ticket is required to take advantage of the self-registration terminals located at the entrance for quick entry. Your e-ticket is to be printed and taken with you. All emails will be sent to you from collision@iecgroup.com.au

Your registration will also allow you automatic entry into the Collision Repair Expo at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre there is no need to register for both. Note that the Organiser reserves the right to cancel invalid registrations to ensure that entry is limited to bona fide trade visitors.

What happens if I have deleted or forgotten my e-ticket?

Your E-ticket can be re-sent. Please phone our visitor hotline on 03 9596 9205 or email collision@iecgroup.com.au

Alternatively our onsite registration staff will be able to assist you upon arrival with printing your visitor access card.

Arriving onsite without having access to your E-ticket or you’ve forgotten it, please advise our onsite registration staff as they will be able to assist you. You will not have to complete another registration form; your record will be on the database.

Can I check or update my registration details?

Yes, please email collision@iecgroup.com.au with your registration number and name or by call 03 9596 9205.

How do I book in for seminars if I've already registered?

By emailing collision@iecgroup.com.au with your registration number, name and the seminars you wish to book, or by calling 03 9596 9205.

How do I delete my registration?

How do I register a colleague?

When registering, you have the option to add colleagues to your registration. These colleagues will then receive their own confirmation and e-ticket for entry.

If I am registered for the Collision Repair Expo, do I also need to register for the Australian Auto Aftermarket Expo?

No, only one registration is needed to gain access to all co-located events. Both fairs are held under the one roof where you’re able to walk through freely to view exhibitor stands.

Can I still attend if I have not registered before arriving?

Yes, you are welcome to register at the onsite registration counter at the entrance. However we recommend pre-registering to save you time. All registrations will require business identification.

Can students attend?

Final year Tertiary or TAFE students currently enrolled in a relevant course may attend on the final day ONLY provided they have an appropriate student identification card.

Any groups larger than 6 students must apply in writing to the Organiser for approval. Details must include institution, course, number of students and preferred attendance time. Email: collision@iecgroup.com.au

STUDENTS MUST NOT REGISTER TO ATTEND, but simply present their student identification at the registration desk located at the entrance. Student badges are issued onsite from the Registration Desk. No Student badges are available prior to the event. Any students who register to attend will have their registration declined.

Can I bring my family or guests to have a look?

Entry is restricted to Trade Only
Trade registered attendees are entitled to bring along ONE accompanying guest. Guests are NOT to be registered in any circumstance. An accompanying guest pass must be collected from the registration counter onsite only. Guest passes are not available prior to attendance. Guests must be accompanied by their trade visitor at all times.

Children under 16 may attend if accompanied by an adult at all times. There are no child minding facilities available at the venue. Children must not be registered; children do not need to obtain a guest pass.

If your guest qualifies as a trade visitor, registration is recommended.

Are there child minding facilities onsite?

No, unfortunately there are not child minding facilities available onsite.

Is there a cloak room onsite?

No, unfortunately there is no cloak room facility onsite.

Will there be any special events/features?

Yes there will be a range of events/ features designed to inform and entertain you whilst visiting the event. Click here for further details.

How many exhibitors are there, who is exhibiting?

At each event expect to see hundreds of manufacturers and suppliers within the automotive industry.

Is there free parking?

No unfortunately there is no free parking. Click here for parking information.

Do I need a visa to visit Australia?

Most international Visitors to Australia will require a Visa to enter the country. For Government details on Visas visit Australian Government Immigration site at www.immi.gov.au. Remember if you need to make a Visa Application make sure you do so well in advance as there is usually a processing period involved.
